Dave is an outstanding Goalkeeping clinician and brings with him a wealth of knowledge both as a high level player and coach.  Dave holds a National "B" License and is revered as one of the top Goalkeeping coaches in the region!  His extensive and successful background as a player, along with his education and teaching experience, enables him to provide individual goalkeepers the instruction they need to take their game to the “Next Level”, regardless of age or ability.  His instructional curriculum is specific to the technical, tactical, and psychological needs of the goalkeeper.  He has provided many young, aspiring goalkeepers, the necessary training and conditioning to become outstanding high school, collegiate, and professional Goalkeepers.  Dave is the Director of his self-named "How to Build a Goalkeeper" camps, and is also the creator and presenter of "How to Build a Goalkeeper" DVD, where he shares his knowledge on becoming a successful goalkeeper.

Coach Whitcraft has over 25 years of coaching experience at several different levels.  Whitcraft coached 8 years in the USL, 4 years with the South Jersey Baron's and 4 years with the Delaware Wizards.  At the collegiate level Dave started the 1st Intercollegiate Men's Soccer Program at Goldey Beacom College, where he was also the Head Coach from 1989-1991.  In 1991 he led the team to League Finals.  Dave has been the Men's Varsity Soccer Head Coach at Avon Grove High School since 1987.  While at Avon Grove, he was named Coach of the Year in 1996,  1998, 2004, and 2011.  He also was named as the League Coach of the Year in SCCL, Ches Mont in 1996, 1998, 2004, 2009, and 2011.  Along with being the Avon Grove coach Dave has also been on the District 1 Soccer Coaches Steering Committee since 1998.  On the Delaware State level Dave has been apart of the DYSA staff since 1992.  While there he was named the Delaware ODP Head Goalkeeping coach on two separate occasions, 1989-1992 and 1998-1999.  

As a player Whitcraft's experience is only multiplied.  Dave attended the University of Delaware where he was a 2 Time Div. 1 All-American Goalkeeper, 3 Time All-Region 1st Team selection, named to the Adidas/Budweiser Senior Bowl, and named as the Most Outstanding Male Athlete.  In 2002, Dave was the first ever soccer player to be inducted into the University of Delaware Hall of Fame.  Five years later in 2007, Dave became the first ever soccer player to be inducted into the State of Delaware Hall of Fame.  After college, Dave continued his playing career at the professional level.  He spent 11 years as a professional goalkeeper playing for the New York Cosmos, Delaware Wizards, and the South Jersey Barons. During his stint as a professional Dave earned himself on the USISL Professional All-Star Team in 1993 and the USISL Player of the Week Honors on three separate occasions.  In 1987, Dave was named to his Hometown (Gibbsboro, NJ) Hall of Fame and Eastern Regional High School Hall of Fame.
